Break free from Tyrants

Greenpeace activists protested with a message reading “Break Free From Tyrants” on a banner measuring approximately 90 square meters, unfurled from a construction crane near the Munich Security Conference on the morning of 13th February 2026.

Ten climbers unfurled the banner above the Marienhof at a height of about 60 meters. The protest was prompted by Europe’s dependence on liquefied natural gas supplies from Russia and the U.S. Both U.S. President Trump and Russian President Putin use energy supplies as leverage.
